Christmas and New Year at the Silk Road Gallery
Less than two weeks to Christmas so here's some ideas for those unique and special presents from the Silk Road Gallery.
Let's start with two wonderful winter warmers. Tibetan Blankets are a perfect winter present, lightweight, soft and warm, they never fail to please and they're only £15.
Our lovely soft Cashmere Scarves are also lightweight, soft and very warm - they come in a variety of natural colours and are £35. Still time to post them out for Christmas.
We can still post out our wonderful Kantha quilts, some of the most popular items in the gallery, like the Kantha scarves each one is unique.
You'll have to come to the shop for these next two items, they're too varied for us to put them on the website but they're among our top sellers. Having said that, if you wanted us to select for you, you could email us - email@example.com - with your preferred colour and we'll choose one to post out for you.
Reversible Kantha silk scarves come in a vibrant range of colours, prices starting at £25, they're characterised by the Kantha running stitch and, being reversible, you get two scarves in one.
Tie dyed silk scarves with a pattern of tiny dots are equally vibrant and made with the softest silk.
We only have a few of these wonderful embroidered and beaded bags but take a look, they're unique and really special. Still time to post!
Some of our wonderful silk Cushion Covers can be ordered online but we have a much larger selection in the showroom.
If you want to buy online, how about some original Folk Art for the Wall? Read a blog about visionary Gond drawings and paintings from central India and take a look at our exquisite Indian Miniatures painted by Mukesh in the small Rajasthani town of Bundi.
Our photographs are mostly on the ground floor where we currently have a new collection of our original Stepwell Photographs including some large format images. Prints from £25, all are original photos taken by Silk Road director Peter Bennion.
Underground in India is a half page feature in the Sheffield Telegraph newspaper about Peter's search for the Stepwells of India.
We hope to see you either online or in the shop.
