We're in the process of putting together a new showroom to house our Bringing It All Back Home collection under one roof. Indian woodcarvings and furniture, Indian brass statues and copper work from Afghanistan, Decorative carved mirrors, Tribal paintings, Ikat bedspreads and woven silk bed runners and hangings from India and Laos, Textiles including embroideries from Gujarat and Afghanistan, Statues of the Buddha Photographs from our travels in India, Tibet and Nepal and many items that are delightfully uncategorizable.
We've been unpacking chests from a collection we made over 30 years ago and seeing some old 'friends' for the first time in many years. We'll be photographing these and adding to things from our more recent trips. We'll keep you posted with updates and let you know when the showroom is ready to open; you'll be able to call us and view the collection by appointment.
Items shown in the photos above include a painted Buddha head and a statue of the elephant god Ganesh, an embroidered wedding shawl from Afghanistan, an old wooden mask from Tibet, chased copper vessels from Afghanistan, a long embroidered panel from Kutch, a colonial mirror, a handwoven silk bed runner and a delightful brass wood flour container bound with lines of brass from India.
