Turquoise & Black Kantha Throw
A striking reversible kantha throw with turquoise & black geometric & icat patterns.
A stunning & dramatic vintage kantha throw. One side has strong colours of turquoise & black with some white & gold. The patterns are partly tie dyed along with striped bands of colour with small triangulated edges. The reverse has stylised repeat interlocking geometric pattern in soft gold on a deep pink red background.
A cottage industry item upcycled from vintage cotton saris in west Bengal and Bangladesh. All our Kanthas are unique. The layers of fabric are bound together in the traditional style with very tight kantha running stitches which create an additional texture & pattern discernible on close inspection.
Kanthas make great throws for a sofa or chair or a top layer for a bed.
We recommend that you machine wash at 30 degrees using non biological detergent.
