An enigmatic Indian painting of a hand decorated with Tantric symbols.

I admit to having no first hand knowledge about this type of painting though I understand that symbols painted on the hand have a Tantric origin and are to do with different energies. I like the aesthetics of the painting.

Painted on fine cloth, the hand is set against a pale background and covered with symbols, probably Sanskrit, surrounded by an Indian red border. The symbols include animals, a trident and a wheeled vehicle similar to to those used to carry religious images during festivals and processions.
