An unusual item - a Warli painting of village scenes executed on old Court paper from Jaipur.
We bought this from an artist and shopkeeper in Udaipur who had learnt the art of Warli painting. This painting is on old paper with the Jaipur coat of arms and the court fee of 8 annas along with an old postage stamp with the head of English King George from the 1920's.
The white painted images include typical Warli scenes including of a bird in a tree, people working in the field and village, a bamboo house and a tethered goat.
