A vintage brass oil lamp from India in the form of an elephant and rider on a hanging chain.

This brass elephant oil lamp is a charming vintage item in solid brass.

Sitting on the back of the elephant is a mahout, or elephant rider. A brass chain allows you to hang the lamp from a hook and a brass pin can be removed to allow you open up the lamp to add oil although we would suggest this should be used as a decorative rather than a practical item.

Holes in the spout would be used for wicks.
