Brass Ratnasambhava Buddha Statue
A brass statue of the Buddha Ratnasambhava with right arm outstretched in the mudra of generosity.
Ratnasambhava, the Buddha of the southern sky, represents the wisdom of equality and transforms all inner feelings of pride into equality and equanimity. His left hand rests on his lap and holds a shining jewel, Cintamaṇi, a symbol of Bodhichitta as the highest value in Buddhism.
The back of the statue is covered with intricate shapes and figures including the standing Buddha and a host of figures possibly depicting stories from the life of the Buddha.
