A delightful brass statue of the Jain Mahavir seated in meditation under a parasol.
The central figure, Mahavir or Tirthankara, sits on a throne surrounded by other figures, possibly disciples. Elephants are on both sides of the parasol. The figure is brass, the eyes are silver and a diamond emblem on the chest is made of copper.
There are inscriptions on the back of the statue.
