An amusing wooden carving of an animal sitting on a carved wooden column.
It's rather hard to say what the animal is, possibly a bear with a long tail, maybe a cat. In either case the face has some human qualities. The animal sits on top of a pagoda-like tiered building which has fairytale-like doors carved into the walls of the ground floor.
The carving is deeply incised into very dense wood, the whole carving has been coloured in deep shades of red, green and yellow.
