A photo of the goats being brought from the hills to the shelter of Hanupatta village
There are foxes, wolves and maybe snow leopards in the mountains of Ladakh, so the goats have to be brought back to the village every night.
The village boys have been their shepherd during the day; it's now their responsibility to get them all back into the safety of a walled compound in the village. Village dogs will give warning of any approaching predators.
The old lady with the basket on her back is collecting dung for fuel.
