Juniper Sellers at Samye Monastery | Photos of Tibet

Regular price £25.00

An atmospheric photo of women selling juniper branches by the huge incense burners at Samye courtyard in Tibet.

Smoke and clouds seemed to merge into one as great clouds of smoke billowed from the burners when someone burnt an offering of juniper branches.

September 2014.

Samye monastery is where Buddhism became established in Tibet in the 7th Century.
