Painted Colonnades at Vrindavan | Photos of India

A photo of old painted colonnades on the edge of a dusty square on the outskirts of Vrindavan.
Vrindavan is a major Hindu pilgrimage town in Madhya Pradesh. We were there looking for some old stepwells, most of which turned out to be closed except for specific times when they were used for ritual bathing.
Wandering around we came across this beautiful row of arches coloured with faded paintwork. I love the gentle light and soft colours.
Boys were playing cricket on the dusty square.
