This Rangoli pattern was on a doorstep as a welcome to the house in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Rangoli patterns are auspicious designs often created by hand with chalks & coloured powders but also, like this one, as a bought stencil. The owner of the house apologised that it was only a stencil but the pattern, with feet in the centre, is beautiful. They're seen especially at Diwali and other festivals but many houses will always have an image like this on the doorstep.
