Dark Red & Green Patterned Kantha Throw

A vintage kantha throw with a small patterned dark red print on one side, large maroon & green patterned reverse.

Repeat patterns of large maroon & green rounded hexagons and six sided stylised flowers are on one side while the reverse has a dark Indian red fabric with a grid like pattern of small repeat motifs and delicate border patterns.

A cottage industry item upcycled from vintage cotton saris in west Bengal and Bangladesh. All our Kanthas are unique. The layers of fabric are bound together in the traditional style with very tight kantha running stitches which create an additional texture & pattern discernible on close inspection.

Kanthas make great throws for a sofa or chair or a top layer for a bed.
We recommend that you machine wash at 30 degrees using non biological detergent.
