An absolutely beautiful red painted box in the form of a peacock; the box opens to reveal compartments.
The top hinges sideways to reveal three compartments. A very lovely vintage piece. The compartments would be used for the pastes that are used for tikka marks on the foreheads of Hindus at pujas, worship and religious events. Colours like vermilion red, turmeric yellow and white.
