Two wonderful folk art brass statues of musicians, probably from Orissa on the east coast of India.
One is playing a saxophone the other a type of three stringed fiddle. They figures are full of life and character, they both have a cool stance and funky hair styles as befits musicians. The fiddle player is standing on what appears to be a large turtle.
Lost wax castings in the tribal art tradition.
Dimensions: approx. 19cm tall
