A photo from the entrance to the main shrine buildings at Samye monastery looking back out to the huge juniper burners in the courtyard.Smoke drifted across the courtyard billowing into great clouds whenever someone presented an offering of juniper branches.
Samye monastery is where Buddhism became established in Tibet in the 7th Century.
