A highlight of this shawl is the delicate stylised floral print in bands of blue and pink.
Kantha is a type of running stitch popular throughout India but especially in Bengal where these Kanthas originate. The tradition in the villages of Bengal is to upcycle old saris into bed quilts & shawls called dupattas.
