A photograph of the extraordinary dessicated canyons with a backdrop of snow mountains, Guge, Western Tibet.

In 2014 as we made a long journey across Western Tibet heading towards Tsaparang & Tholing we came across this extraordinary landscape of dried up canyons, the upper reaches of the Surlej river basin. This view extended right across the horizon. In the background are the snow covered mountains that separate Tibet from Spiti & Ladakh in India.
