A handwoven silk wallhanging, silver with a rose colour diamond pattern, from Laos called a Pha Tung.

This silk Pha Tung textile from Laos makes a beautiful unique wallhanging, table runner or bed runner. Handwoven and vegetable dyed in the small town of Luang Prabang. The design is a silver-grey field with three intricately woven deep pink diamond patterns and black fringe.

Woven by Miss Phaeng, a weaver of the traditional Pha Tung - prayer flags woven for the Buddhist New Year. Laos is a Communist country where most people practise Buddhism.
