A large Warli painting with exotic trees & animals in white on a reddish brown background.
This unusual Warli painting is populated with an exotic collection of different animals and birds among an absurd variety of wonderful and strange trees. There are 16 different species of trees along with rabbits, and an elephant, leopard, porcupines, deer, dogs, an alligator, snake, peacock and other birds.
Like all Warli paintings it's made with white rice milk paste applied with a wooden stick on a cotton cloth coated with a thin layer of reddish brown mud - and like all Warli paintings it's a unique piece and a depiction of the artist's vision of village life. It is signed by the artist.
