A lovely vintage embroidery from Gujarat with images of Ganesh, birds & flowers on a gold cotton cloth.
This is a long panel, embroidered in executed in chain and satin stitch about 300cm and was probably made as a frieze to run along the wall. It's an old piece showing some wear to the front and and repair on the back, but otherwise in good condition. The embroidery is superb and in a style typical of Kutch in the state of Gujarat, India.
