Marble Chaise, Bundi Palace | Photos of Rajasthan
A photo of a marble chaise on a balcony at Bundi Palace, Rajasthan.
Bundi is delightful small town in Rajasthan which we visited because of its huge number of stepwells - there are at least 50. Large parts of the town are painted blue, possibly to keep away mosquitos or maybe to indicate the houses are owned by the Brahmin caste.
There is also a beautiful palace on a hillside and above that the old fort. In the grounds of the fort there are three large stepped water tanks. The palace has a fine collection of traditional paintings. This chaise, covered with rose petals and marigolds, is on a balcony that overlooks the main courtyard.
