Elaborate brass knockers from India with figurative designs and a verdigris & bronze finish.
The figurative images on these heavy door knockers are Garudas and a kind of bird serpent. These are makuras, hybrids of different animals - half bird, half fish, serpent or reptile that are part of Indian folklore.
The one at the back has a backing plate that you'd screw to the door; the others have a threaded bolt that goes through the door.
