Patterned Cashmere Scarves from Nepal
Soft cashmere scarves, handwoven in Nepal, reversible with subtle check borders.
Delightfully soft and lightweight, an essential item for autumn evenings and a great gift for a man or woman. The soft wool is gathered high in the Himalaya where the goats spend their summer months - you often come across large flocks moving across the hillside or coming down impossibly steep slopes to drink at the streams.
We bought these beautifully soft scarves from the Women's Skill Development Org in Nepal in autumn '23. WSDO is a non-profit income-generating project for disadvantaged, disabled, abused, widowed, divorced, single & outcast women from rural Nepal. Unlike some other similar projects we've encountered, they present the items in their shop with great elegance giving them the respect they deserve - these are very simple but beautiful scarves.
Choose from 6 colours: from top to bottom: Grey Herringbone; Mustard Check; Bottle Green Herringbone; Grey Check; Blue & Grey Diamond and on the right: Red Diamond.
