A black Rajasthani cloth embroidered with red & yellow geometric floral motifs.
The black cloth is surrounded on three sides with a red & yellow satin stitch border with a small geometric design followed by an open stitch pattern and a final plain red border. The fourth side is left unfinished.
The main field has red & yellow cruciform geometric floral motifs interspersed with round sheesha mirrors stitched with red & white circles. The central design is a dense red & yellow pattern drawing on the outer border motif.
Many years ago we had a perfect small chakla with the same embroidery style.
A lovely vintage piece of Rajasthani embroidery.
