A cotton Suzani with blue embroidery on a slate blue background.
Suzanis originate in Central Asia, especially Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. This one is made in the western Thar desert of India by a family with strong connections to the textiles of Afghanistan and Central Asia.
Size approx 150x220cm. In India this is called a single bedspread.
Cleaning. We have successfully machine washed our suzanis on a wool setting but you may consider dry cleaning.
