A photo of late afternoon light on white stupas against dark mountains above Skurbuchan village, Ladakh.

We've been many times to Ladakh but our guide Stanzin keeps finding new hidden gems. In 2019 he took us to Skurbuchan where we stayed with the cousin of our friend Tsering. Skurbuchan is a delightful small village above the Indus river in western Ladakh.
We climbed to the old gompa and took this photograph of stupas and prayer flags in the afternoon light set against the dark hard mountains above the village.
