Tibetan Wheel of Life Brass Mirror
An ornate Tibetan brass mirror with mythical dragons and symbols from the Buddhist wheel of life.
The Tibetan Wheel of Life is painted on the vestibule of most Buddhist monasteries throughout the Buddhist Himalayan regions of Tibet, Nepal and Ladakh. It depicts many things including the six 'realms' that we experience in our life - including human, hell and god realms. So when we look at the Tibetan Wheel of Life we see our experience - it's a like mirror that shows us our existence.
This mirror doesn't show the realms or any of the other images depicted in the painting - but it shows us ourself directly. And looking into it we will see ourselves as we are are in different moments in our lives. In common with the paintings, it is surmounted by Yama, the Lord of Death and surrounded by the flames of our conditioned existence in samsara.
Supplied ready to hang on the wall.
