Tribal Brass Statues of Indian Hunters
Lost wax brass statues probably from Orissa, now Odissa, India.
A wonderful collection of tribal brass statues showing a hunting party returning with their catch of animals, snakes and birds.
Reading from the right we have a hunter with a lizard over his shoulder, a monkey faced character holding a bird, a man with a bow and arrow and a small animal over his shoulder which may be a hunting dog, a woman sitting with a snake.
These statues are wonderfully alive with strong individual characteristics.
Buy them individually or as a group of four at a reduced price.
