Vibrant Kingfisher Blue Silk Kantha Bedspread

A beautiful vibrant silk double bedspread in a printed fabric with kantha overstitching.

This is a lightweight bedspread in glorious colours that would bring a vibrant splash of colour to any room. 

It's a vintage item made from five panels of fabric with kantha overstitching. The shape is slightly irregular and it may have been made by a young women rehearsing her sewing skills while she made textiles for her dowry. 

The reverse is a patchwork of different squares of fabric.

Double bedspread, approx 190 x 230cm, making it ideal for a double bed.
