Vintage Barber's Mirror with Red Flower
An Indian street barber's vintage teak mirror with traces of a red painted flower on the front cupboard door.
An old teak wooden mirror with a shelf, front opening cupboard & carved side panels in the design of parrots, a popular motive in India carved where parrots are considered as symbols of love.
On the front of the door is a carved flower with traces of red paint which is also present on another floral motif at the top of the mirror and elsewhere on the frame. At the top of the mirror is another floral motif. Below the cupboard is a rail for a small towel.
Several years ago these would have been a common sight in places like Rajasthan. in our homes we can use these vintage barber's mirrors in a bathroom or place for your last minute check of hair, make up or tie. Or simply as a decorative item for the wall and somewhere you can display small collectibles.
