Street barbers are a common sight in India working in the shade of a tree or underpass. Teak mirrors like these hold all they need, shaving cream, cut throat razor, blades, some magic pre shave oil and another oil for the subsequent head massage. Going for a shave or haircut is like entering a piece of daily theatre.

These lovely old teak mirrors are sadly being replaced by plastic but for us they are well made, durable, practical items of vintage India.
