Vintage Uzbek Tent Band
This would be used to tension the tent poles by nomads setting up their yurts or wooden tents.
Made from a tightly woven pale coloured wool with coloured woven patterns, embroidery and tassels. The colours are interesting, deep reds, rusts and blues have predominantly been used for the tassels while the woven band itself is dyed in more delicate shades of pale greens, rusts and soft violets with a smaller amount of deep indigo, all probably being natural dyes.
Good condition throughout.
