Yellow Flowers on Orange Vintage Kantha Throw
A reversible kantha throw with yellow floers on orange on one side; aubergine, red & yellow on reverse.
One side has floral patterns of yellow flowers on an orange background interspersed with borders and a panel of paler flowers on a yellow background. The reverse has long fuzzy edged stripes of yellow, red and aubergine overprinted with long chains of black leaves, the whole being overstitched in kantha style with subtle apricot colours.
A cottage industry item upcycled from vintage cotton saris in west Bengal and Bangladesh. All our Kanthas are unique. The layers of fabric are bound together in the traditional style with very tight kantha running stitches which create an additional texture & pattern discernible on close inspection.
Kanthas make great throws for a sofa or chair or a top layer for a bed.
We recommend that you machine wash at 30 degrees using non biological detergent.
