Young Monk at Luri Monastery, Mustang
We reached the remote Luri Gompa (Monastery) by trekking up a side valley from the Kali Gandaki river.
The expected patch of ground that was to be our campsite had been turned into a small building site that would eventually house visiting lamas. We settled for sleeping in the ancient prayer hall surrounded by dark and dramatic paintings from the Tibetan Wheel of Life.
We played luminous frisbee with the two young monks and the lama but Luri sits on the edge of a steep ravine and the frisbee kept overshooting.
