Our new silk patchwork bedspreads are guaranteed to dispel those winter blues.
We've often talked about the intense colours of India and we're utterly delighted with our fantastic new collection of richly coloured Indian bedspreads which seem to epitomise the vibrancy of those Rajasthani desert towns we love to visit.
Our supplier Razi has drawn on his vast collection of fabrics to assemble these vibrant bedspreads. Individually fascinating squares of printed art silks have been skilfully combined to create these dynamic and harmonious colour palettes. Lines of Kantha stitching add another detail - which also creates an interesting reverse side with lines of stitches on a plain background.
They are available in four colours including Red, in the photo above, and Kingfisher, below. New colours include a beautiful blend of green tones.
Each one is unique. The reverse sides are plain cotton.
Take a look at our bedspreads!
The vibrant indigo combines a wonderful range of intense purples, lilacs and indigo blues with the odd square of blacks and the occasional orange flame. The reverse side has blue and white Kantha stitching on a plain dark indigo cotton.
All the squares used in the white bedspreads have white or ivory backgrounds which means that you can really appreciate the variety of different prints that Razi has utilised to make such a stunning combination. Endless hours of enjoyment poring over the patches!
They are called double bedspreads in India, which means they measure 230x260cm, making them ideal for a double bed or a king size bed and large enough for a super king size bed.
Like all Indian bedspreads they should be dry cleaned.
The bedspreads are shown on a Samarkand Bed that Peter designed when he and Kay were the owners of the Natural Bed Company.
