The details around the hands, which are delicately holding the stems of a lotus flower, the chintamani or wish fulfilling jewel and a mala or prayer beads and face are especially good. Avalokiteshvara is the quintessential Bodhisattva of Compassion, he who looks down on the suffering of the world.
