A painted Tibetan box in red & green with elegant brass fitting.
A red Tibetan box with yellow lotuses, green leaves and the demon Yama, the Lord of Impermanence, on the front. Yama is holding two snakes in his mouth.
The shape is unusual, the box is rectangular with a sloping front. There is an elegant brass clasp and delicate brass fittings bind the corners.
The lid opens to reveal a black painted interior.
