A photo of a white Mustang horse next resting by the stupas at Ghar Gompa in Upper Mustang, Nepal.

The day before we arrived at Lo Montang, the old walled town that is the "capital" of the old kingdom of Upper Mustang, we camped overnight at Ghar gompa. In the morning before we broke camp I returned to the ridge we'd crossed the previous day, I wanted to take a last look at the beautiful stupas and prayer flags on the ridge.
The white horse galloped up the slope, paused by the stupas and ran on past me to the grazing fields by the monastery.
