Eight Auspicious Signs & Coloured Cord | Photos of Tibet

Over the entrance to a roadside shop in Western Tibet was this printed paper with the 8 auspicious Buddhist signs.

Reminders of the Buddha's Dharma are never far away in Tibet. The auspicious signs printed in blue run along the bottom edge of the paper. The elaborate symbol at the top of the paper is Om Mane Padme Hum in the ancient Lanza script.

Also pinned to the entrance is this colourful braided hanging.
