There are two stepwells at Nahagarh Fort. This, the larger, is located between the inner & outer walls of the fort.
I'm puzzled that it's located where an enemy could breach it and release the water to the disadvantage of the occupants of the fort. Alternatively, breaching it could devastate an attacking army.
