Shanti Stupas, or Peace Pagodas, have been built by Japanese Buddhists around the world. There are seven in India. This sits atop a hill on the edge of Leh, the main town of Ladakh. The photograph was taken from prayer flag bedecked Tsemo Fort, another hilltop location in Leh.
