Two women were our laughing guides through the beautiful rice fields above their village near Punnaka.

October was a perfect month to walk among green & gold rice fields in central Bhutan. The women wisely brought umbrellas to protect from the sun. We climbed gentle slopes into the hills for a picnic lunch before returning to their house as the lowering sun brought out the colours of the rice terraces.
