Prayer Flags in Bhutan, 5 Greetings Cards

Regular price £12.50

A pack of five square greeting cards with an image of red Buddhist prayer flags against a blue sky in Bhutan.

These wonderful faded red prayer flags were at the Pele La on the road to Gangtey.

On the back of the card:
Buddhist Prayer Flags, Pele La, Bhutan, 2024. Prayer flags are printed with Buddhist teachings and placed on hilltops where the wind can carry the prayers to the four corners of the world.

Blank inside for your own message.

Tall prayer flags are a wonderful sight on hilltops and sacred locations throughout Bhutan. It's probable the red colour signifies a connection with the Buddha Amitayus. They are topped with a small umbrella and the sword of wisdom.
Gangtey, a migration destination for black necked cranes, is an interesting diversion to the south as we made our way from west to east across central Bhutan.

Contents: 1 unit is 5 cards and envelopes, size 12.5cm square.

Postage is £2.95 added at checkout. Postage remains at £2.95 for any number of cards.
