In early 2019 while photographing stepwells in Gujarat we detoured to the coastal town of Veraval to take our friend Tsering to see the Arabian Sea. Tsering is from Ladakh in the land locked far north of India.
Veraval is a centre of ship building where wooden fishing boats are still built with traditional techniques; we spent an afternoon freely wandering around the boatyards and this book is a visual record of that day.
