These carved wooden biscuit molds are carved from a rich dark coloured wood.
Similar to butter presses, these biscuit presses from Rajasthan are used to emboss a decorative pattern on the biscuit, a different pattern on each side. They fold away when not is use although we'd probably have them open all the time to show the pattern.
