A brass statue of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom.
A beautiful statue, or rupa, of a turquoise & coral inlaid Manjushri holding the flaming sword that cuts through ignorance about reality. By his left shoulder a lotus supports books representing the teachings and truth of the Dharma.
The coral & turquoise will probably be artificial.
The women in the additional photo are making inlay work in a workshop in Patan, Nepal.
