Chilli peppers drying in the sun on a rooftop opposite a yellow painted house in Bhutan.

The Bhutanese eat vast quantities of chillies and you see them drying in the sun or under the eaves of houses. The classic Bhutanese meal is cheese with chillies; as a tourist you get a mild version, which is a relief. 
This photo was taken near the village of Jibjokha where we started a walk through undulating landscape of rice fields, villages and pine woods. The early morning mist still covers the hilltops.
