This tall Magar statue of a man with a parrot on his head was placed near the entrance to a house to ward off spirits.
Two cavities in the abdomen have spaces to place offerings such as rice or flowers. The face has a possibly welcoming smile, the eyelids are closed. One ear is missing. Black wood with a nice patina. From the Indian Himalaya, possibly Magar tribe from Western Nepal.
